Hilda is a one-of-a-kind, fully handcrafted character, created by me from start to finish. She is a whimsical, rustic little character with a warm, storybook feeling and lots of handmade details.
 
Details:
Size: 15 × 8 × 8 in (38 × 20 × 20 cm)
Materials: air-dry clay, papier-mâché, natural wool, cotton and textured fabrics, dried flowers.
Hand-sculpted: face, hands, legs are individually shaped by hand
Hand-painted: her face and body details are carefully painted and finished by hand
Hair: made from natural wool and styled by hand
Dress: made from carefully selected textured fabrics, with individually shaped details
Apron: handmade with layered fabrics and decorated with tiny appliqué details, including little houses, giving it a cozy, handmade countryside feeling
Shoes and small details: individually made and finished to complement her character
Base: presented on a natural wooden stand
Every part of Hilda has been made and assembled by hand. 
I don't use molds for the sculpted parts, so each character has her own unique expression and personality.
